The BYD Seal 08 is a mid-to-large flagship sedan measuring 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,505 mm tall on a generous 3,030 mm wheelbase, and it is sold in two powertrain families. The pure-electric versions offer 905 km of CLTC range from a single rear motor producing 320 kW, or 785 km from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup making a combined 510 kW that reaches 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The DM-i plug-in hybrid versions pair a 1.5-litre turbocharged BYD472ZQB engine with electric drive for 400 km of electric-only CLTC range in front-wheel-drive form, or 350 km with all-wheel drive and a 3.8-second 0-100 km/h time. All four trims are flagship-grade and share the same generous equipment: dual-chamber air suspension, a segmented fixed glass roof, front seats with heating, ventilation and massage, and a 20-speaker DEVIALET audio system.
